This Privacy Policy explains how Sailiently ("Sailiently", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Sailiently website and application at sailiently.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information you provide when registering: your name, email address, company name, and website domain. Your password is stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash — we never store it in readable form.
Usage information generated as you use the Service: the URLs you submit for analysis, the audits, gap analyses, and rewrites produced for you, the scores and supporting evidence recorded with them, and your credit balance and usage history. Completed analyses are stored against your account so you can review them later and compare a page over time.
Technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and a session cookie used to keep you signed in.
Communications you send us, for example support requests.

2. How we use your information

To provide, operate, and secure the Service, including authenticating you and keeping you signed in.
To run the analyses you request and to manage your credits and usage history.
To respond to your requests and provide support.
To monitor, maintain, and improve the Service and prevent abuse.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Web pages you submit and AI processing

When you submit a URL, the Service fetches that web page and analyses its publicly available content. To produce audits and rewrites, the relevant page content and your request are sent to third-party AI providers (for example Anthropic) acting as our processors. Only submit URLs you have the right to analyse. Do not submit pages containing confidential or personal information you are not authorised to share.

4. Cookies and sessions

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in after you log in. It is necessary for the Service to function and is not used for advertising.

We also use Google Analytics (GA4), a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use our site — such as which pages are viewed and how features are used — so we can improve the Service. Google Analytics sets first-party analytics cookies and processes usage data on our behalf; we do not send it personal information such as your name or email address. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with: (a) service providers who process it on our behalf under contract (AI providers, hosting, and, when introduced, a payment processor); (b) authorities or others where required by law or to protect rights and safety; and (c) a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Data retention

We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for 90 days afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law.

Stored analysis history — the audits, gap analyses and rewrites saved to your account, together with their scores, factor breakdowns, supporting evidence, the URLs analysed and the date each analysis was run — is kept for 12 months from the date of each analysis, after which it is deleted automatically. If your account is closed sooner, your stored history is deleted within 90 days of closure.

You can export your stored history at any time from within the application, and you may request earlier deletion as described in section 9.

7. Security

We use measures such as password hashing and encrypted (HTTPS) connections to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International transfers

Your information, including content sent to AI providers, may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, India, and other countries across North America and Asia. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@sailiently.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated as required by law.
